I’m the founder of the Feel Good Fast FoodTM website and founder/CEO Amanda’s, a better-for-you fast food restaurant concept under development. With a strong interest in healthy and natural food, I have worked for Niman Ranch, a natural and gourmet meat company, and the following restaurants: Nick’s in the City (San Diego, CA), Erik’s DeliCafe (based in Santa Cruz, CA), Café Borrone (Menlo Park, CA), and Averill’s Flathead Lake Lodge (Bigfork, MT). I am passionate about great tasting and better-for-you food, entrepreneurship, consumer service, and socially responsible business. I left a technology job in Silicon Valley in order to establish a “Feel Good Fast Food” restaurant. I love to do yoga, run, hike, and experiment with new classes at the gym.E-mail Amanda at amanda.west@amandas.com.

I’m a second year at UC Berkeley who is an intended business major. I am also an intern at Amanda’s restaurant. I am passionate about the idea of creating your own things; I have aspirations of starting my own business in the future and possibly a restaurant. Getting involved with Amanda’s has been a good experience because it has made me more environmentally conscious as well as giving me an inside look into the restaurant business. My interests include playing soccer, listening to music and reading.
I’m a fourth year undergraduate student at University of California, Berkeley majoring in Economics. Getting involved in the food and restaurant industry has always been my dream. I developed this deep interest in food ever since my family used to run a small restaurant back home in
Sandrine Palmer I’m a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. I double majored in Political Economy of Industrialized Societies and Scandinavian Studies. I became involved in Amanda’s because healthy eating and general food trends have always been an interest of mine. My other passions include traveling, economics, and international affairs. I eventually plan on getting my MBA and through such I hope to contribute to more eco-friendly and socially responsible business practices.

Chriselda Chua I’m a third year undergraduate student taking Economics at University of California, Berkeley. I’m originally from Metro Manila, Philippines and moved to the United States three years ago for college. I joined Amanda’s team early this year and I love learning about how business can be more socially responsible. Some of my hobbies include photography, graphic design, and traveling.
Lauren Bass I am originally from Willoughby Hills, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland. After I graduated from college, I took over the Head Trainer position for my family’s equestrian Hunter/Jumper business, Maypine Farm. As the trainer at Maypine, I taught riding, bought and sold horses, and managed the Maypine staff and the overall operations of the business. Simultaneously, I pursued my own riding career as a professional Show Jumping rider, pursuing a path to international competition and ultimately the Olympic Games. I recently decided to return to school to earn my MBA and possibly pursue a career as an entrepreneur in the food industry. I moved to San Francisco and I am currently doing an internship with Amanda’s Restaurants. I decided seventeen years ago, at the age of eleven, to become vegetarian. The choice to be a vegetarian is driven by a number of factors - love for animals and concern for their welfare, environmental awareness, and health. Being vegetarian was always very difficult because I traveled constantly for equestrain competitions and found it nearly impossible to eat healthy and vegetarian on the go. My personal need for easy and healthy food sparked my interest in the healthy fast food concept. The vision for my future is centered around being involved in businesses that focus on employing socially and environmentally responsible operating practices.

He is currently pursuing a degree in International Relations.

I am a 2nd year student at the University of California,Berkeley with intended double major in Economics and Public Health. I am originally from Palm Springs, California, but have lived in Michigan and Nevada, as well as various regions in Mexico. I joined the Amanda’s team this summer because I believe that the key to success in the public health arena is through prevention and awareness, and I found that the principles of living a healthy lifestyle and creating community promoted at Amanda’s support both of these. Other than my studies and working with the Amanda’s team, I enjoy mentoring at the local elementary schools in the Berkeley and Oakland school districts, hiking, painting, being involved with my sorority, and volunteering through the UC Berkeley chapter of the Global Medical Brigades.

I am a third year at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration and Spanish. I intern for Amanda and I am a Team Lead at Amanda’s Restaurant. I started working at Amanda’s because I am interested in agriculture policy, health, the power that the market has to change industry norms, and making healthy food more accessible and approachable. I just ran my first full marathon at Disney World, I studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain, and I am a coach for Girls on the Run in Oakland. My favorite part of working at Amanda’s is the team, but the food is a close second!
