Boulder’s V.G. Burger

Another better-for-you quick serve restaurant is available to us, V.G. Burger in Boulder, CO. Everything they serve is vegan (or plant-based) with several options for veggie burgers, along with baked fries, smoothies, and interesting ice creams made from soy, rice, or hemp.
While I haven’t been able to taste their offerings, the pictures from the V.G. Burger website look pretty delicious.
Along with using organic ingredients, V.G. Burger uses compostable service products and 100% wind-powered energy.

I just wish the food tasted good.

I work in Boulder, and just had a V.G. Burger for the first time. I’m certainly not a vegan, or even a vegetarian for that matter, but figured V.G. was a better option than the Taco Bell right next to it. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the ‘V.G. Classic Burger’, topped with fresh greens and a wheat bun. Along with a fresh garden salad and Oogave brand fountain soda (organic soda sweetened with agave), it turned out to be a great lunch! A bit more expensive than other “fast food”, but it was well worth it - even for a beef-lover like myself!
